Endodontist Jack P. Campbell, DMD

Dr. Campbell was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. He graduated from Florida State University, in 1973, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.

From 1973-1976, Dr. Campbell worked as a Registered Nurse, in clinical nursing, for the Veteran’s Administration Hospital, Miami, FL. During that time, he worked two years on a medical unit, and one year on a spinal cord injury unit.

Dr. Campbell believes that his nursing training and clinical experience has been invaluable to him as an endodontist. He provides comfort, compassion, and the ability to listen to his patients, while providing for their dental needs.

Dr. Campbell attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry, on a Navy scholarship. He graduated in 1980.

Following graduation, Dr. Campbell was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Dental Corps. In 1981, he provided dental care for a marine amphibious unit, (32 MAU), during a six month deployment to the middle east, aboard the USS Iwo Jima. From 1982-1984, Dr. Campbell served aboard the USS Yosemite, and completed a seven month deployment in the northern Arabian Sea.

After these operational tours, in 1984, Dr. Campbell completed a one year fellowship in Endodontics at the Dental Clinic, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida.

He provided endodontic treatment for sailors at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, from 1985-1988.

In 1988, Dr. Campbell was selected for the Endodontic Residency Program at the National Naval Dental Center, Bethesda, MD.

Upon completion of his endodontic residency, in 1990, Dr. Campbell was assigned as the base endodontist, at the Naval Dental Clinic, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

In 1993, Dr. Campbell made the decision to leave the Navy, and brought his family back to northeast Florida. Since 1993, he has maintained an active endodontic specialty practice in Orange Park, Florida. Dr. Campbell and his wife, Barbara, have been married for forty years. They have two grown children, Christy and John, a son-in-law, Mark, a grandson, Cooper, three doggie children, Molly, Augie, and Trevor, and a grandpuppy, Goose.
